Job Description: Floor Technician

Company: Crothall Healthcare

Location: Ochsner Westbank - 2500 Belle Chasse Highway, Gretna, LA 70056

Schedule: Full-time and part-time, five days a week, hours may vary, including rotating weekends. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Previous floor technician experience preferred; willing to train.

Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions

• Maintain knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and proper procedures including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery care such as shampooing, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor types.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience as a floor care technician or related role.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.
