Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is seeking a Floor Technician responsible for maintenance and restoration of floors at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. The role requires operating industrial floor care equipment and following safety procedures.

Qualified candidates will have good knowledge of floor care techniques and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Full-time hours are Monday to Friday. The position offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and retirement plans.

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large floor surfaces.
• Uses proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface extraction, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to perform essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
