Job description

Position: Floor Technician (Full Time)

Location: Johnson City Medical Center – 400 North State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN 37604. Online applications only.

Schedule: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm and 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, days may vary. Further details will be provided during interview.

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Essential Functions

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard‑floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor‑care equipment and utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
• Uses the proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor‑care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor‑care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
