TouchPoint Support Services is hiring a full-time Floor Technician for a 2nd shift position at MyMichigan Saginaw. The role focuses on floor maintenance, restoration, and operating industrial floor care equipment.

No prior experience is required. The job offers a fixed pay rate of $16.00 per hour and benefits through TouchPoint across Ascension Health hospitals. You will perform various duties and work with safety-conscious procedures to support healing environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Uses automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet and upholstering procedures including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restoration for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

We are hiring immediately for a full time FLOOR TECHNICIAN position.

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
