SSC Services For Education is hiring a Floor Technician for the TAMU HSC Dallas Jn location in Dallas, TX. The position offers a part-time schedule with evenings Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and flexibility for various needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and proper procedures for stripping and refinishing.

• Uses automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Cleans carpet and upholstery including shampooing and spot cleaning.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor types.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Position Details

• Title: Floor Technician (part‑time)
• Location: TAMU HSC Dallas Jn – 3302 Gaston Avenue, Dallas, TX 75246 (openings at other locations within the school district available)
• Schedule: Full‑time schedule; Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Full and part‑time availability with flexibility to meet most scheduling needs.
• Experience Required: 1 year as a Floor Technician and knowledge of floor‑care equipment.
• Pay Range: $15.00–$18.50 per hour.

Essential Functions

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
• Uses proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp‑surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor‑care technician or related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor‑care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
