Job summary

Gulf Coast Village, part of Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS), is seeking a full-time Floor Tech to maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, staff, and visitors in Cape Coral, FL. Hourly wage ranges from $15.50 to $16.50, with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3 years' experience required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans windows with or without a ladder or telescopic pole.
• Shampoos carpet with a floor machine.
• Buffs floors with a floor machine.
• Strips and scrubs floors with a floor machine and a wet/dry vacuum.
• Mops floors with a mop wringer and bucket.
• Moves furniture and appliances with proper body mechanics.
• Hangs drapes with or without a ladder.
• Unloads and stocks supplies.
• Transports trash to a dumpster.
• Flips and turns mattresses using proper body mechanics.
• Performs high dusting with or without ladder or telescopic pole.
• Cleans lights with or without ladder.
• Vacuums drapes with or without ladder.
• Cleans woodwork.
• Participates in In-service training.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

• Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
