Job summary

Gulf Coast Village, a Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) community in Cape Coral, FL, is seeking a Housekeeper for a full-time role. You will perform cleaning procedures, stock supplies, and maintain sanitary facilities in a compassionate healthcare environment.

The position emphasizes reliability, following procedures, and English communication. Join a team focused on resident wellbeing and quality care in a welcoming campus setting.

Qualifications

• Previous institutional housekeeping/cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow procedures, work assignments, instructions, warnings and labels.
• Adequate strength, endurance and coordination for cleaning tasks (dusting, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing).
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Performs defined cleaning procedures using various chemicals and equipment.
• Replenishes paper products, hand soap, and wastebasket liners as needed during routine cleaning.
• Maintains housekeeping cart and utility closets in sanitary condition.
• Performs other related duties as deemed necessary.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Previous institutional housekeeping/cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow procedures, work assignments, instructions, warnings and labels.\
• Adequate strength, endurance and coordination to meet the strenuous physical demands of such responsibilities as dusting, mopping, vacuuming and scrubbing.
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
