Job description

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment at BMC Best Program, 88 East Newton Street, Boston, MA 02118. The position is full‑time with evening shifts available. Prior floor care experience is required.

Essential Functions

• Maintain knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and apply proper procedures, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment and automated cleaning equipment for large floor areas.
• Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface care, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a floor care technician or in a related role.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Capacity for frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
