Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is seeking a Floor Technician at Baptist Beaumont Hospital in Beaumont, TX. This full-time role offers a 9:00 am–5:30 pm schedule, Sunday through Saturday, with opportunities to train and grow in floor maintenance and restoration.

Responsibilities include operating hard-floor care equipment, buffing, stripping, refinishing, and carpet care. Prior floor care experience is preferred, and the role requires lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.

Job Summary

Summary:Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
