Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Floor Technician for the SISTERS OF MERCY location in the Buffalo area. You will perform thorough floor cleaning and maintenance to ensure a safe, healthy environment for staff and clients.

The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork and adaptability, with 12 months of related experience preferred. You will operate floor care equipment and assist in training other staff, with a range of benefits at many sites.

Qualifications

• 12 months of related work experience preferred.
• Experience with floor care equipment and carpet care preferred.
• Team-oriented, adaptable and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, buff, polish, scrub, strip and refinish hard-surface floors using heavy equipment.
• Vacuum, spot clean and extract carpeted floor surfaces.
• May clean furniture and empty trash, linen, and garbage containers.
• May wash walls and maintain baseboards and cove base molding.
• May assist in training other employees.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
