Job summary

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) in North Charleston, SC invites you to join our Floor Tech crew. This full-time, permanent role starts at $17.45 per hour, with shifts 5am to 10am and weekend work required to support operational needs.

You will perform spot removal, bonnet cleaning, strip and wax, carpet care, floor scrubbing, and related duties. Lifting up to 49 pounds, reading safety guidelines, and following all safety procedures are essential; prior floor-care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each.
• Read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions (English).
• Lift and carry objects weighing 15–25 pounds.
• Regular bending, lifting, and reaching.
• Full manual dexterity in hands and wrists.
• Able to climb ladders and gangways safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform spot removal, extraction, bonnet cleaning, strip/wax, scrub/recoat, seal/grout, etc.
• Scrub, shine, clean, and repair carpeted and non-carpeted areas using equipment and chemicals.
• Clean floors and stairways by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Move large furniture and objects and follow safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Keep janitor closet neat, clean, and organized.
• Follow manufacturer specifications for chemicals and equipment.
• Report to Supervisor any repairs or safety hazards.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
