Job summary

Seminole Gaming is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean and attractive public and employee areas within the facility. Under supervision, you will operate floor care equipment and perform waxing, carpet cleaning, and upholstery cleaning to meet high cleanliness standards.

The role requires knowledge of cleaning equipment, attention to detail, and excellent guest service. Training of new staff and adherence to safety regulations are essential components of the job.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous cleaning experience and knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals preferred.
  • Experience in deep cleaning upholstery, carpet care, and waxing floors preferred.
  • Experience using professional commercial pressure washing equipment.
  • Must possess outstanding guest service skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must have high standards of cleanliness.
  • Must conduct yourself in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida policies.

Responsibilities

  • Operate cleaning equipment for floor care and maintenance (scrubbers, burnishing machines, carpet extractors, vacuums).
  • Handle floor care, stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, marble cleaning/polishing. Move furniture as needed.
  • Prioritize and coordinate with others to complete floor care within multi-trade projects.
  • Assist supervisor in training new employees in floor care methods.
  • Tag equipment for repairs and notify supervisor.
  • Maintain and clean equipment; perform floor attendant duties if needed.
  • Follow all safety requirements and procedures for the position.

Job Description:
Responsibilities:

The Floor Technician is responsible for, under the supervision of the Manager and Assistant Manager, maintaining clean and attractive public and employee areas within the facility.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Operate various types of cleaning equipment used for floor care and maintenance such as scrubbers, burnishing machine, carpet extractors and vacuums cleaners.
  • Handles floor care, stripped and wax, carpet cleaning and shampoo, marble cleaning and polishing, upholstery cleaning. Moving tables and chairs as require.
  • Prioritize and coordinate with other workers as needed to complete floor care work within the overall scope of multi-trade projects.
  • Assist supervisor in the training of new employees in proper floor care methods and procedures.
  • Tags equipment for repairs and advise supervisor.
  • Maintenance and cleaning equipment.
  • Performs Floor Attendant job duties if needed
  • Follows all safety requirements and procedure require for the position.

Work Environment:
  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed on the Casino Floor in a fast-paced, guest-smoking environment, with constant exposure to general public and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Employee will be frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Required to push cleaning cart and operate vacuums.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
