Job summary

Parker Health Group in Piscataway, New Jersey, is seeking a Floor Technician and Driver on a per diem basis. The role covers cleaning duties across resident areas and driving a box truck between Parker facilities, with a daily shift pattern and weekend coverage as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of geriatric experience preferred, plus a NJ driver’s license in good standing.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and move between buildings.
• Experience with geriatric populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain a safe living environment for residents (suites, bathrooms, common areas).
• Drive between buildings and transport biosafety waste as needed.
• Assist with packing and pickup of disposal materials monthly.

Floor Technician and Driver - River Road - Per Diem - $21.50 hourly rate - The areas highest quality nursing care residence providing a warm and compassionate community - 7:00am - 3:00pm or 3:00pm-11:00pm, 2 shifts monthly including weekends as needed - The Floor Technician and Driver will clean and maintain a safe living environment for all residents according to the specified schedule, including areas such as resident suites, bathrooms and common areas on a daily basis. Drive between buildings, pack up all bio-hazard disposals and box for pickup monthly.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years' experience with the geriatric population preferred.
• NJ Driver's license in good standing and ability to drive a box truck.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in the English language.
• Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or concerns from residents, employees and visitors.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day, move about and between buildings and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Flu vaccine required during flu season.
