Job summary

Winona Health is seeking a Floor Technician for 1.0 FTE (80 hours bi-weekly) on 1st shift. The role focuses on floor care, waste removal, and window cleaning across patient care areas, operating rooms, and public spaces.

The technician will follow infection control and HIPAA guidelines, use commercial cleaning equipment, and help maintain a welcoming healthcare environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.

Qualifications

• High School/GED equivalent required.
• Previous floor care experience preferred, including stripping, waxing, scrubbing, and buffing various floors.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe healthcare environment through floor care and environmental services.
• Strip, wax, scrub, and buff floors of various types to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Perform waste removal including infectious and hazardous waste and sharps disposal.
• Clean interior and exterior windows to maintain high appearance standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines in patient areas and public spaces.
