Job summary

Platinum Cleaning & Facility Services (PCFS), a division of Healthcare Services Group, Inc., seeks a Floor Technician to oversee janitorial cleaning and facilities maintenance at the assigned site in Louisiana. You will perform day-to-day floor tasks and help ensure clean, safe, and welcoming environments for clients.

Starting pay is USD 13.50 per hour. The role offers on-site work with hands-on training, opportunities for career development, and benefits such as telemedicine and wellness

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, buff, strip and wax floors; carpet shampooing and extraction.
• Spot cleaning and full carpet extraction/shampoo.
• Assist with work orders and cover floors when others are absent.
• Clean stairwells, signage, escalators and elevators.

Floor Technicians perform day-to-day cleaning tasks related to flooring in common areas and tenant suites, etc. Overall duties will include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, stripping, waxing, carpet shampooing and extracting, and responding to all cleaning emergencies. Evening Floor Technicians must be organized, dedicated, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously. You will work with management to create an effective cleaning schedule, which will include your day-to-day routines and work timetable.

• Not available in AR.
• Machine scrub floors.
• Strip and wax floors.
• Spot cleaning and full carpet extraction/shampoo.
• Project work such as cleaning lights, lamps, window washing, etc.
• Assist with work orders as needed.
• Cover floors when employees call off.
• Clean stairwells, signage, etc.
• Assist with checking floors.
• Clean escalators, elevators.
• Use miscellaneous flooring equipment as needed.

Skills Required

• Be able to adapt and work as a team to ensure daily tasks, project work, requests and work orders are completed on time and within company expectations.
• Be polite and respectful with clients, guests, and co-workers.

Experience

Some experience is preferred. Ability to be able to learn how to operate heavy equipment such as floor scrubber, buffer, etc.

Education

Must be 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift items of up to 35 lbs. while moving around and perform other physical duties (i.e., climb ladder, lifting, bending).
• Ability to spend up to 100% of the working time standing and walking.
