Essential Functions

• Follow maintenance schedules and perform floor maintenance (dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, bonneting) in various areas.
• Perform housekeeping within established guidelines to meet quality, safety, and customer service standards.
• Complete cleaning tasks timely according to schedule.
• Report equipment or product needs and malfunctions to supervisor promptly.
• Use cleaning solutions safely and adhere to safety precautions.
• Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and soiled linens properly.
• Transport waste to the main dumpster.
• Handle bodily fluids, clean windows, and perform high dusting as needed.
• Represent the facility positively, following instructions and maintaining courtesy with staff and residents.
• Follow maintenance and repair schedules for all areas.
• Attend in-service training sessions.
• Follow Residents' Rights policies and infection control procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report any violations.
• Report accidents and suspected abuse immediately.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, stand, sit, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods. Ability to work around food and cleaning products.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Be punctual and cooperative.
• Perform routine tasks consistently.
• Knowledge of floor stripping, waxing, and burnishing.
• Work independently without injury or assistance.
• Complete all required training.
