Job summary

UNC Lenoir Health Care in North Carolina is seeking a full-time Environmental Services team member for on-site cleaning in our hospital. The role involves maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, assisting in room set ups, waste removal, and linen handling to support patient care areas and departments.

The position requires no formal education but prefers at least 6 months of floor care experience and a Hospitality Training certificate.

• Certificate of completion Hospitality Training.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Working, standing, benching, lifting, pushing, pulling of linen, carts and boxes daily.

Summary:
Provides high quality, timely, safe, professional, efficient cleaning of assigned areas. To keep all floors in the building at their highest quality appearance possible. Communicates and cooperates between/among all our customers internal and external in meeting our mission of providing a clean and safe environment and outstanding customer service at all times by removal of waste streams in the house promptly and safely. Remove all soiled linen as needed to keep in route to main soiled linen room on dock. Performs upholstery cleanings in areas assigned, elevator tracks, stairwells, and assist in all house set ups/break downs of rooms.

• PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
• Minimum 6 months previous experience in floor care preferred.
• LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
• Certificate of completion Hospitality Training
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
• Outstanding qualities in all areas of Performance. Consistent grades of 90% on inspections.
• WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Exposed to Housekeeping cleaning agents/chemicals and water frequently. Required Personal Protective Equipment precautions may be exposed to infections and contagious diseases, blood borne diseases. Subject to interruptions. Reference to varying and unpredictable situations. Occasional pressure due to multiple pages, calls and inquiries, emergency and stat situations.
