Description provides high quality, timely, safe, professional, efficient cleaning of assigned areas to keep all floors in the building at their highest quality appearance. Communicates and cooperates with internal and external customers to meet our mission of providing a clean and safe environment and outstanding customer service. Responsible for removal of waste streams promptly and safely. Remove soiled linen as needed to route to the main soiled linen room on dock. Perform upholstery cleanings in assigned areas, elevator tracks, and stairwells, and assist in all house set ups/break downs of rooms.

• Maintain a positive image of the department and hospital through interpersonal interactions.
• Ensure contacts with other healthcare team members are friendly, helpful, and courteous at all times.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: None required.
• Professional experience: Minimum 6 months previous experience in floor care preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Certificate of completion Hospitality Training.
• Knowledge, skills and abilities: Outstanding qualities in all areas of performance. Consistent grades of 90% on inspections.
• Work environment: Exposed to housekeeping cleaning agents/chemicals and water frequently. Required Personal Protective Equipment precautions. May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases, bloodborne diseases. Subject to interruptions and varying/unpredictable situations. Occasional pressure due to multiple pages, calls and inquiries, emergencies and stat situations.
• Physical requirements: Working, standing, benching, lifting, pushing, pulling of linen, carts and boxes daily.
