Job summary

Pacific West Site Services, Inc. is seeking a Floor Technician to safely perform floor care, waxing, stripping, buffing, and related duties per contract standards.

The role requires ability to follow safety rules, work in a team, and handle repetitive tasks while keeping work areas clean and organized. Forklift and driver's license may be required; training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: No education requirement; 6 mo–1 year preferred or equivalent.
• Certificates and licenses: may include driver's license; safety training and forklift certification as needed.
• Knowledge, skills: read/interpret instructions; strong verbal/written communication; cleaning methods and equipment; chemical safety.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures; stop at risk behaviors.
• Work with team to complete assignments and maintain clean work area.
• Follow all company procedures and take direction from supervision.
• Interact professionally with lead, supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.

Job Description:

Job Overview

The Floor Technician will be responsible for safely performing assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, performs environmental services as needed, and performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties according to regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behaviors in others and self
• Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver's license Complete all safety and task training certification May be required to be forklift certified

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Shift & Compensation

5:00 pm -1:30am Monday to Friday

4:00 PM -2.30AM-TH (Track B, every other Friday off)

$23.60 - $24.60hr
