SBM Management Services, LP in Hillsboro, Oregon seeks a Floor Technician to perform floor care duties (waxing, stripping, buffing) per standards and procedures. The role includes environmental services as needed and requires adherence to safety guidelines and team collaboration.

The position offers a Sunday-Thursday shift 5:00pm–1:30am, with a pay rate of $19.85–$20.85 per hour and SBM's comprehensive benefits. Equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and safety standards.

Formación

• No formal education required; 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning methods, supplies, and equipment.
• Forklift certification may be required or preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and safety guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Perform floor care tasks including waxing, stripping, buffing, and cleaning according to procedures.
• Follow safety rules and report hazards; maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work with team members to complete assignments and respond to supervision.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Provide professional interaction with customers and co-workers.
• Adhere to shift schedules and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Title: Floor Technician

Job Overview

The Floor Technician will be responsible for safely performing assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, performs environmental services as needed, and performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties according to regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behaviors in others and self
• Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasks
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet , and brick flooring
• Complete work assignments in a timely manner
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
• Use and maintain equipment properly
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely
• Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs "wet floor"
• Ability to work without normal supervision
• Report safety hazards as appropriate

Qualification

Education and/ or Experience

No education requirement 6 mo-1 year experience preferred: or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

May be required to have a valid driver's license Complete all safety and task training certification May be required to be forklift certified

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
