Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Floor Technician in Warrendale to perform floor care tasks and environmental services in compliance with regulations. The role requires safe operation of equipment, proper use of chemicals, and maintaining a tidy work area.

Shifts are Monday through Friday from 5:00pm to 10:00pm, with an hourly wage of $17.65–$18.65. Candidates should follow safety guidelines and present a professional appearance while supporting a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care tasks (waxing, stripping, buffing) safely and according to procedures.

• Operate motorized cleaning equipment and maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Work with team to complete assignments and report hazards.

Job Overview

The Floor Technician will be responsible for safely performing assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, performs environmental services as needed, and performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties according to regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasks
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet , and brick flooring
• Complete work assignments in a timely manner
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
• Use and maintain equipment properly
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely
• Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs "wet floor"
• Ability to work without normal supervision
• Report safety hazards as appropriate

Qualification

• Education and/ or Experience: No education requirement 6 mo-1 year experience preferred: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver's license Complete all safety and task training certification May be required to be forklift certified
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
