Job summary

Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Floor Technician for weekend shifts in North Carolina. The role collaborates with Housekeeping and Laundry to maintain a clean environment for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, performing routine duties, assisting with resident room moves, discharge cleaning, and occasional maintenance tasks as directed by the Environmental Services Director.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Customer service oriented, able to communicate at all levels and work well in a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong problem-solving skills, flexible and dependable.

• Stripping and waxing qualifying floor surfaces.
• Cross-training in Housekeeping and Laundry should the need to float arise.
• Assist with room moves of residents.

• Other duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Director.
• Minimal maintenance responsibilities in case of an emergency or need arises.

Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation is currently seeking a Floor Technician to join our team of dedicated health care professionals.

The Floor Tech works with the Housekeeping and Laundry team to provide a clean environment for all customers residing in and visiting our facility.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Taking out the trash
• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing various floor surfaces
• Stripping and waxing qualifying floor surfaces
• Cross-training in Housekeeping and Laundry should the need to float arise
• Assist with room moves of residents
• Assist with discharge cleaning of residents rooms, which would include boxing of items and moving furniture
