Job summary

Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Floor Tech to join our environmental services team in North Carolina. The role focuses on keeping resident and visitor areas clean and safe, working closely with housekeeping and laundry to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

Responsibilities include trash removal, floor care (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing), stripping and waxing floors, and assisting with resident room moves and discharge cleaning.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Customer service oriented; communicate at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision; flexible and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Take out the trash and maintain clean environment.
• Sweep, mop, scrub and maintain various floor surfaces.
• Strip and wax qualifying floor surfaces.
• Cross-train in Housekeeping and Laundry to float when needed.
• Assist with room moves of residents and discharge cleaning of rooms; box items and move furniture.
• Support Environmental Services Director with other duties as assigned.
• Minimal maintenance tasks in emergencies.
