Job summary

United Methodist Communities' Collingswood Manor in Collingswood, NJ, is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming resident areas. Responsibilities include scrubbing, buffing, and finishing floors, operating floor-care equipment, and supporting daily operations.

This position offers part-time or full-time schedules with rotating day and night shifts. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be 18+, and bring prior floor-care and janitorial experience.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Prior floor care experience including stripping and finishing.
• Previous janitorial experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming resident and common areas through routine environmental services and floor care activities.
• Perform hard-surface floor maintenance, including scrubbing, buffing, burnishing, stripping, and refinishing.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as scrubbers, extractors, burnishers, and buffers.
• Collect and dispose of waste, replenish supplies, and support the overall appearance of assigned areas.
• Assist with furniture relocation, room setups, and special projects for community events and activities.
• Receive, transport, and organize deliveries as needed to support daily operations.
• Follow established safety, sanitation, and infection prevention practices when using equipment and cleaning products.
