Job summary

Southminster is seeking a full-time Floor Technician to maintain a clean and welcoming environment in a premier retirement community in Charlotte, NC. The role includes cleaning floors, carpets, walls, windows, and metal surfaces, handling trash, linens, and event setup, and reporting repairs.

Availability for 1st and 2nd shifts, occasional weekends, and holidays is required. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of floor technician experience, with

• Two years of floor technician experience.
• Knowledge of stripping and finishing, burnishing, scrubbing, light carpet extraction, deep carpet extraction, and upholstery extraction.
• Additional experience: Experience working in a senior living community.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and welcoming environment at Southminster.
• Clean and maintain floors, carpets, walls, windows, and metal surfaces.
• Remove trash, deliver soiled linens, and support event set-up and teardown.
• Respond to spills and other cleaning needs as requested.
• Care for assigned equipment and report repair needs for furniture, fixtures, and building items.
• Follow safety procedures during emergencies and support assigned duties as needed.

• Clean and maintain floors, carpets, walls, windows, and metal surfaces to keep the community looking its best.
• Remove trash, deliver soiled linens, and support event set-up and teardown.

Schedule

1st Shift: 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., occasional weekends
