Job summary

Solaris HealthCare Merritt Island is seeking a Floor Tech to join our team. The role includes daily housekeeping duties, carpet and tile maintenance, and ensuring a clean, safe environment for residents.

Requires knowledge of floor care equipment (side by side, boost machine, high-speed buffer) and a High School Diploma or GED. Prior SNF experience is a plus; we provide comprehensive benefits and a supportive work culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carpet throughout the building including shampooing, spotting, and vacuuming.
• Maintain all tile: washing, waxing, buffing, and stripping.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Responsible for linen distribution at end of shift.
• Distribute supplies to each housekeeper at end of day.
• Responsible for trash runs during the day from all assigned locations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Floor Tech Job Summary:

The floor tech Performs the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current Federal, State, Local and Departmental, rules, regulations and procedures, and guidelines. Assures that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
