Ashford Gardens in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Floor Technician for the 11am-7pm shift to perform scheduled floor care tasks under the Housekeeping Supervisor.

The role involves maintaining floors, buffing, waxing, stripping, carpet extraction, and safe chemical use, with emphasis on resident safety and adherence to policies. Competitive pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualificações

• Experience in Floor Care.
• Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains all floor surfaces.
• Buffs and waxes floors, strips and waxes floors, top scrubs and waxes floors.
• Extracts and vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
• Has reviewed policy and procedures and knows responsibilities.
• Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with patient care systems.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Job Summary

The overall purpose of the Floor Technician position is to perform scheduled floor care tasks as may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This position may also mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.

• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
