Job summary

Southern Cleaning Services is seeking a Floor Tech to maintain spotless floors across the facility. You will perform mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing, ensuring safety and quality in daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a strong work ethic, detail orientation, and can work independently or with a team. Prior floor care experience and knowledge of cleaning agents are preferred.

Qualifications

• Background check required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as Floor Tech or similar role.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents, equipment and techniques.
• Ability to operate floor cleaning machines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical stamina for lifting and working in different conditions.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly to remove dirt and debris.
• Clean and sanitize floors with appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Strip and refinish floors as needed to maintain appearance.
• Operate floor cleaning machines such as buffers and scrubbers.
• Ensure floors are maintained and free of hazards or obstructions.
• Monitor and report damage or repairs needed for floors.
• Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks efficiently.
• Assist with other cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
