Job summary

Southern Cleaning Services is seeking a skilled Floor Tech to maintain floors across our facility. You will mop, strip, wax, and buff floors, operate buffers and scrubbers, and ensure surfaces look clean and professional.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and can work independently or as part of a team, following safety procedures and collaborating with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Weakly focused on safety, we require attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent is expected.
• Proven experience as a Floor Tech or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents, equipment, and techniques is beneficial.
• Ability to operate and maintain floor cleaning machines is required.
• Must be detail-oriented, independent, and capable of managing time well.
• Strong organizational skills and good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt and debris.
• Clean and sanitize floors using appropriate agents and equipment.
• Strip and refinish floors as needed to maintain appearance.
• Operate floor cleaning machines such as buffers and scrubbers.
• Ensure floors are safe and free of hazards or obstructions.
• Monitor and report damage or repairs needed for floors.
• Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently.
• Assist with other cleaning duties as directed by supervisor.
