Southern Cleaning Services in Kentucky is seeking a dependable janitor to perform cleaning tasks across facilities. You will sweep, mop, scrub, wax floors, vacuum, and maintain cleanliness of restrooms and common areas.
Responsibilities include handling diverse floor types, moving equipment, taking out trash, cleaning windows, and supporting event setups. The role requires physical stamina and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Care for different types of floors (including but not limited to carpet, tile, VCT, wood) by hand and/or use of power equipment.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.
Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, by spreading snow melting chemicals.
S et up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as sporting events, banquets and meetings.
J ob assignments can vary from facility to facility with the possibility of transfer.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Reviews will be conducted on a 90 day, 6 month and annual basis the first year of employment.
