Job summary

Brooksby Village by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Floor Tech/Custodian for both full-time and part-time roles in Peabody, MA. The position involves cleaning floors and carpets, setting up rooms for events, and assisting with moving heavy objects within a vibrant senior living community.

The role offers day and evening shifts, a $19.50–$23.28 hourly pay range with shift differentials, and benefits including medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401(k) with a 3% match, and

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and clear driving history.
  • Ability to safely operate carpet and hard floor care equipment.
  • Experience in carpet care and floor finishing preferred.
  • CDL Class B with air brake endorsement may be required; DOT medical certificate needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain hard floor surfaces: scrub, mop, burnish, strip, buff, wax.
  • Maintain carpeted surfaces: extract, spot, vacuum, dry.
  • Clean vertical surfaces: doors, walls, windows.
  • Remove trash using appropriate equipment and procedures.
  • Move and arrange furniture in common spaces and apartments.
  • Deliver residents’ items to storage, vehicles, or other areas.
  • Operate housekeeping equipment/vehicles safely.

Brooksby Village by Erickson Senior Living

We’re looking for a full-time Housekeeping Floor Tech/ Custodian to help maintain the cleanliness of our vibrant senior living community. This includes using specialized equipment on floors and carpets, cleaning building areas and surfaces, setting up rooms for events, trash removal, and assisting with moving heavy objects.

Full-time (40 hours) & Part-time (32 hours)
Day & Evening shifts available

*MA Drivers License and clear 3 year verifiable driving history required.

Full-time position
Compensation: commensurate with experience $19.50 - 23.28/ hour plus shift differentials

How you will make an impact
  • Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, buffing and waxing
  • Maintain carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, vacuuming
  • Clean vertical surfaces such as doors, walls, or windows.
  • Remove trash including refuse and recycling by following procedures utilizing compactors, trucks, and carts
  • Move and arrange furniture in the community common spaces and offices, as well as in residential apartments
  • Deliver residents items to and from storage, vehicles, apartments or other areas.
  • Operate housekeeping equipment/vehicles in a safe manner.
What you will need
  • Current and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community
  • Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques preferred
  • May require a CDL class B, with air brake endorsement.
  • Must have a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
