Job summary

Brooksby Village by Erickson Senior Living seeks a full-time Floor Tech/Custodian to maintain cleanliness across a senior living community. Duties include floor and carpet care, room setups, trash removal, and assisting with moving heavy objects.

Requires a valid MA driver’s license and a clean 3-year driving history. Compensation ranges from $18.25 to $21.00 per hour with shift differentials plus benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience with carpet and floor finishing techniques is preferred.
  • Ability to operate carpet and hard floor care equipment safely.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain hard floor surfaces: scrubbing, mopping, buffing, waxing.
  • Maintain carpeted surfaces: extraction, vacuuming, drying.
  • Clean and polish doors, walls, and windows.
  • Remove trash and recycling following standard procedures.
  • Move and arrange furniture in common spaces and apartments.
  • Assist residents with items to storage, vehicles, or other areas.

Brooksby Village by Erickson Senior Living


We're looking for a full-time Floor Tech/ Custodian to help maintain the cleanliness of our vibrant senior living community. This includes using specialized equipment on floors and carpets, cleaning building areas and surfaces, setting up rooms for events, trash removal, and assisting with moving heavy objects.



  • MA Drivers License and clear 3 year verifiable driving history required.


Full-time position


Compensation: commensurate with experience $18.25 - 21.00/ hour and shift differentials

How You Will Make An Impact



  • Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, buffing and waxing

  • Maintain carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, vacuuming

  • Clean vertical surfaces such as doors, walls, or windows.

  • Remove trash including refuse and recycling by following procedures utilizing compactors, trucks, and carts

  • Move and arrange furniture in the community common spaces and offices, as well as in residential apartments

  • Deliver residents items to and from storage, vehicles, apartments or other areas.

  • Operate housekeeping equipment/vehicles in a safe manner.


What You Will Need



  • Current and valid driver’s license

  • Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community

  • Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques preferred

  • May require a CDL class B, with air brake endorsement.

  • Must have a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
