Job summary

Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring a part-time porter to join our team. Shift is 6p-10p Mon-Thur, with weekly pay at $17 an hour.

As a member of our housekeeping team, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable facility by performing daily duties across resident rooms, floors, and common areas, while following infection control practices. Training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary, on-the-job training provided.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience in housekeeping in a nursing home or other related medical facility preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents' rooms are neat, clean and free from odor.
• Wet mops floors daily.
• Shampoo and extract carpets as per schedule.
• Buff floors.
• Attend to spills immediately.
• Empty trash liners and clean containers.
• Clean bed and rails with disinfectant.
• Clean all countertops, windowsills, bedside tables, furniture and over the bed.
• Strip, seal and refinish floors as per schedule.
• Clean floor edges and corners to prevent build-up.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Clean personal items, pictures, decorations, flowers, etc.
• Other duties assigned by managerial team.
