Job summary

Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Massachusetts is hiring a part-time porter to join our housekeeping team. Shift is 6pm–10pm, Monday through Thursday; weekly pay at $17 an hour. The porter will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.

No experience is required; on-the-job training provided. A minimum of one year housekeeping experience in a nursing home or medical facility is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary; on-the-job training provided.
• Prefer 1 year housekeeping experience in a nursing home or medical facility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents’ rooms are neat, clean and free from odor.
• Wet mops floors daily.
• Shampoo and extract carpets as per schedule.
• Buff floors.
• Attend to spills immediately.
• Empty trash liners and clean containers.
• Clean bed and rails with disinfectant.
• Clean all countertops, windowsills, bedside tables, furniture and over the bed.
• Strip, seal and refinish floors as per schedule.
• Clean floor edges and corners to prevent build-up.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Clean personal items, pictures, decorations, flowers, etc.
• Other duties assigned by managerial team.
