Job summary

Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Lake Katrine, NY is seeking a Full-Time Floor Tech. The role supports the housekeeping department to keep the facility clean, safe and comfortable, with Level 1 exposure risk.

Primary duties include carpet and tile maintenance and performing general duties as assigned. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED; prior Skilled Nursing Facility experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of floor care equipment including side by side, boost machine and high-speed buffer.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of carpet throughout the building including shampooing, spotting, and vacuuming.
• Maintenance of all tile throughout the building including washing, waxing, buffing, and stripping.
• Performs housekeeping duties when needed.
• Is responsible for linen distribution at the end of the shift.
• Distributes supplies to each housekeeper at the end of the day.
• Responsible for trash runs during the day from all assigned locations.
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Range: $16.00-$16.50/hour

Floor Tech Job Summary:

The floor tech Performs the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current Federal, State, Local and Departmental, rules, regulations and procedures, and guidelines. Assures that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. The position carries blood and body fluid "Exposure Risk Level 1."
