Job summary

GDI.com in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a night-shift custodial worker to perform floor cleaning and maintenance in commercial settings. You will operate buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners, while keeping floors clean, safe, and presentable.

Weekly pay is offered along with PTO, EAP, and other benefits; promotion opportunities are available based on performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning in commercial settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor materials and cleaning methods.
• Able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks in commercial settings
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and stains
• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors using proper products and techniques
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a clean, hazard-free environment
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed
• Assist with other custodial duties as assigned
