Job summary

GDI Integrated Facility Services in Rockford, IL, is seeking a dedicated Custodian to perform floor cleaning and general custodial duties in commercial settings, following established safety and sanitation protocols.

You will operate buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize restrooms, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency within scheduled shifts.

• Ability to safely operate floor cleaning machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks in commercial settings
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and stains
• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning products and techniques
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed
• Assist with other custodial duties as assigned
