Job summary

Western Dental is seeking a Floor Supervisor to lead back office operations, supervise a team of 8-12 staff, and ensure high standards in patient care and safety. The role involves scheduling, training, and collaboration with dentists to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include hiring support staff, maintaining sterilization and compliance with OSHA and Dental Board rules, and maintaining accurate treatment records while driving the Ultimate Patient Experience.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team of 8-12 staff.
• Current X-Ray License or plan to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Working knowledge of dental equipment and OSHA safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise back office staff including scheduling, training, performance evaluations and accountability.
• Assist in hiring, selection and retention for back office staff.
• Manage patient flow and ensure patient satisfaction with dentists.
• Ensure sterilization of the office and equipment and OSHA/dental board compliance.
• Maintain dental supplies and inventory in operatories, restrooms, and lab.
• Maintain patient treatment records and lead the team to achieve UPE.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all back office staff including scheduling, training, performance evaluations and holding staff accountable
• Participate in the hiring, selection and retention for back office staff
• Responsible for Patient management by partnering with Dentists, providing patients with proper pre and post-treatment instructions and ensuring patient satisfaction
• Monitor patient flow by effectively reviewing sign in sheet and appointment book and making necessary adjustments to the schedule
• Responsible for ensuring sterilization of the office and equipment
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA, Dental Board, and Corporate policies and procedures
• Conduct all weekly/monthly/quarterly inspections
• Maintain dental supplies and inventory; stock supplies in operatories, restrooms, lab, etc. as needed
• Maintain proper patient treatment records
• Lead, inspire, and motivate back staff
• Participate in monthly operational meetings
• Prioritize UPE (Ultimate Patient Experience)

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team of 8-12 team members with the ability to demonstrate authority, delegate responsibility and hold a team accountable
• Working knowledge of dental equipment and terminology, OSHA and safety compliance
• Must have a current X-Ray License. (Or an agreement must be signed that the X- Ray license will be obtained within six (6) months of employment)
