Job summary

Salomon in New York City is seeking a Floor Supervisor to oversee daily sales floor operations, mentor a team of sales associates, and ensure an exceptional customer experience aligned with Salomon’s brand guidelines.

Job Description

As a Floor Supervisor, you’ll be a pivotal member of our team, overseeing daily operations on the sales floor and supporting both our sales associates and leadership team. You will ensure every customer has an exceptional experience, providing a high standard of service and inspiring our team to create a welcoming, visually appealing environment in line with Salomon’s brand guidelines. You’ll play a key role in driving sales, mentoring team members, and maintaining operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

  • Support Team Success: Act as a leader on the floor, guiding part-time and seasonal associates to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Mentor & Motivate: Provide coaching and support to enhance team performance and build morale.
  • Support Operational Excellence: Collaborate closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Managers to ensure smooth daily operations and help execute action plans for reaching sales targets and KPI goals.

Customer Service

  • Deliver an Exceptional Experience: Use your advanced customer service skills to engage with customers, address their needs, and offer styling advice that reflects Salomon’s brand.
  • Problem Solver: Handle any customer issues swiftly and professionally, ensuring a positive resolution and lasting impression.
  • Promote Security: Protect company assets by reinforcing and upholding loss prevention procedures among the team.
  • Achieve Sales Goals: Lead by example in reaching personal and team sales targets, actively motivating the team to do the same.
  • Product Presentation: Assist in maintaining high visual standards, ensuring products are well-displayed, properly priced, and replenished to align with promotions and seasonal updates.
  • Transaction Support: Assist sales associates with transaction processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in cash and digital sales.

Store Operations

  • Maintain Cleanliness & Organization: Ensure that the sales floor, fitting rooms, and stock areas are clean, organized, and inviting.
  • Inventory Management: Support back-of-house processes, including inventory tracking, stock organization, and assisting with shipment processing as needed

Availability Expectations

General Availability:

  • Full Time
  • Employees must be adaptable to the business's evolving needs. The Store Manager will determine availability requirements. This schedule may include various shifts such as mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Peak Period Availability:

  • Black Friday: All employees are expected to be available to work on Black Friday (the day after US Thanksgiving).
  • Holiday Season: Availability is required from the second week of December until the end of the holiday season. The exact end date will be determined annually, based in part on the period during which guests can return holiday merchandise.
Additional Information

COMPENSATION:

At the time of this posting, a reasonable estimated pay range is $22-26/hour. This range varies depending on the market location and type of store. Individual pay within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-specific skills, relevant experience, education, and training.
