South Shore YMCA is seeking a Fitness Floor Staff to support a welcoming and safe Health & Well-being Center. You will engage members, guide fitness activities, and enforce policies to ensure a high-quality experience.
Responsibilities include supervising activities, conducting member screenings, and maintaining equipment and records. Must have First Aid/CPR/AED within 30 days and be at least 16 years old; fitness experience is required with optional Personal Training certification.
Fitness Floor Staff are essential in creating a welcoming, safe, and organized environment within the Health & Well-being Center. This role emphasizes active member engagement, a clean and secure workout space, and consistent adherence to service and safety standards. Staff connect effectively with members, volunteers, and colleagues, providing fitness guidance and enforcing YMCA policies to ensure a high-quality experience. Under the supervision of the Director of Health and Wellbeing, Fitness Floor Staff ensures a positive and supportive experience for all members and participants, upholding the standards of the South Shore YMCA.
