Job summary

Apple Rehab Coccomo in Meriden, CT invites applications for a floor maintenance role under direct supervision. You will perform tasks in a complete floor maintenance program, transport supplies, and assist in general maintenance to keep the facility clean and safe for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
• Ability to perform and working knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward the residents and their support networks.
• Ability to read and understand labels and safety instructions and other department policies and procedures in English.
• Ability to visually assess all aspects of facility.
• Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and to hear and respond to pages.
• Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop, climb, twist, work in tight quarters or in high places and have gross motor coordination, balance and fine hand coordination especially to operate machinery and tools.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items weighing approximately 50-75 pounds.
