Vaupell in Constantine, MI is seeking a skilled Molding Machine Operator to support the production floor during the 3pm–11pm shift. You will operate molding machines, inspect parts, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic math and English literacy, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior injection molding or IQMS software experience is a plus, and forklift certification is encouraged.

• Understand basic math and operate computer systems.

• Willing to obtain a forklift permit.

Shift: Monday through Friday 3pm to 11pm

Position Purpose

Responsible for all molding machine operator floor support duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate molding machines (Operator Breaks).
• Clip, trim, visually inspect and package quality products as required in the documented instructions.
• Ensure proper housekeeping by clearing and cleaning the workspace.
• Complete all paperwork pertaining to production neatly and correctly following all quality standards.
• Perform checks and compare parts with the QA samples.
• Monitor, record and report all scrap.
• Assist molders during machine changes as needed
• Perform inspection of machine to identify potential malfunctions.
• Utilize IQMS to understand schedule , provide correct materials, and produce labels.
• Set up operator workstations per next production order.
• Willing and able to obtain a fork truck permit to move materials as needed
• Responsible for following all established Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations. Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to stand and walk for the majority of the workday; frequently handle materials, use finger dexterity, coordinate hand and eye movements, hear ordinary workplace sounds, and use near and far vision, depth perception, color perception, and keyboarding skills.
