Job description

Job Description: Floor Manager, Centrale (Vizz Group)

Vizz Group is built around the belief that great restaurants are driven by strong leadership, high standards, genuine hospitality, and teams that are invested in what they are building together. We currently operate some of New York City's most ambitious hospitality concepts, with active plans for continued growth and expansion.

As a growing hospitality group, we offer a unique environment for managers and leaders who are energized by being part of something that is actively evolving. We believe the best ideas, strongest leaders, and most meaningful contributions come from teams that are directly involved in the growth of the business and can see the impact of their work in real time.

About Centrale

This summer, Vizz Group will open Centrale, a large-scale Italian dining destination that will bring together extraordinary food, beverage, and hospitality under one roof. Inspired by the energy, vibrancy, and everyday culture of Italy, Centrale will combine exceptional Italian cuisine, an extensive beverage program, and a state-of-the-art market featuring prepared foods, specialty products, grab-and-go offerings, and everyday conveniences.

At the heart of the restaurant will be a stunning bar that serves as both a gathering place and focal point for the guest experience. Throughout the day, the restaurant will transition seamlessly between coffee, aperitivo, dining, cocktails, wine, and marketplace experiences, creating a dynamic environment that feels lively, welcoming, and constantly engaged. Designed to serve guests throughout the day, Centrale will bring together the energy of a bustling Italian marketplace with the quality, hospitality, and attention to detail that define our restaurants.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Floor Manager who thrives in dynamic, high-energy restaurant environments and who genuinely enjoys leading people. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who is energized by busy service, passionate about developing teams, and motivated to create consistently strong guest experiences. As a member of Centrale’s opening management team, you will play a direct role in shaping the culture, standards, and daily operations of a highly visible new concept. The right candidate understands how to lead with presence, communicate clearly, and maintain standards while managing the tempo and complexity of a high-volume operation. Whether focused on staff development, service standards, guest relations, operational flow, beverage execution, our managers actively shape the culture and direction of the business each day. This role will oversee service across dining, and bar while ensuring a seamless guest experience throughout the property.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead with energy, focus, urgency, and professionalism in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ensuring that staff are aligned with the restaurant’s steps of service, hospitality standards, guest volume, and sales expectations.
  • Oversee guest interactions, pacing, communication, and execution while coaching and developing teams in real time.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership, provide operational updates, support recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and team development, and contribute to the long-term growth and consistency of the operation.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience managing in high-volume, full-service restaurant environments
  • Experience overseeing beverage operations, bar teams, cocktail programs, or wine programs
  • Strong leadership instincts with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Passion for hospitality, guest engagement, and service excellence
  • Confidence operating in fast-paced, demanding environments
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • An understanding that hospitality and salesmanship work together
  • Ability to lead large front-of-house teams across multiple service formats
  • Enthusiasm for being part of an opening team and helping build a culture from day one
  • Desire to grow within a group that prioritizes leadership development and internal progression
