Job summary

COS in East Rutherford, NJ is seeking a Floor Manager to lead a team and create memorable customer experiences on the shop floor. You will drive service excellence, coaching staff and upholding brand standards across daily operations.

The role requires a customer-focused leader with fashion knowledge, strong communication, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. It is a full-time local contract with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Experience in store operations and standards, preferably fashion retail.
  • Customer-focused and able to lead by example to deliver great service.
  • Genuine product passion and ability to share enthusiasm with customers.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Strong communication, clear direction and constructive feedback.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and customer requests.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert styling advice and deliver high level customer service.
  • Analyze sales data and collaborate with Store Manager to maximize department performance.
  • Lead and motivate Sales Advisors to meet service and presentation standards.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding and training for new team members.
  • Identify and nurture future talent and contribute to development plans.
  • Oversee daily store operations for efficiency and brand standards.
  • Act as a brand ambassador delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Step in as Store Manager when required to ensure leadership continuity.

Key Responsibilities


  • Delivera high levelof customer service through expert styling advice, strong product knowledge, and an engaging store experience

  • Analyse sales data and collaborate with theStoreManagerto maximise department performance

  • Lead and motivate a team of Sales Advisors to consistently achieve service and presentation standards

  • Support recruitment efforts and ensure effective onboarding and training for new team members

  • Identifyand nurture future talent, contributing to development plans that support team progression

  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with brand standards

  • Act as a brand ambassador, consistently delivering the best possible experience for every customer

  • Step into the role ofStoreManager whenrequired, ensuring continuity in leadership and performance


Qualifications


  • Good knowledge of store operations & standards frompreviousexperience working in retail, preferably within a fashion environment

  • Customer-Focused: You genuinely enjoy engaging withcustomersand lead by example inprioritizingtheir needstodelivergreatservice.

  • Product Passion: You have a genuine interest in the products we offer and love sharing that enthusiasm with customers.

  • Eager to Learn: Open to feedback and actively seek out opportunities for personal and professional development.

  • Excellent Communication: Clear, confident, and empathetic in both customer and team interactions, able to providecleardirectionandconstructivefeedback when needed.

  • Adaptability& Flexibility:Adaptable and responsive to changing priorities and customer requests.

  • Comfortable working varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Analytical Thinking:Understanding of key retail KPIs and how to use them to drive performance.


Additional Information


  • This is aFull-Timeposition with a contract of 32-40hours a week.


Compensation:

$26.60-$29.92


Please note this position is offered on a local contract, therefore you should have the legal right to work in the United States before applying.
