Job summary

Northwest Hardwoods is seeking a Floor Lead to supervise daily lumber yard operations, ensuring safe handling and efficient movement of lumber through the facility. The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and hands-on guidance in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with management to maintain production efficiency, uphold quality standards, and promote a safe workplace while mentoring crew members and coordinating daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily lumber yard operations and coordinate workflow to meet daily goals.
• Oversee yard safety, organize lumber handling, storage, and movement.
• Train, supervise, and coordinate the yard crew; monitor time and duties.
• Interface with managers and supervisors to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure quality control and proper equipment operation; promote safe practices.
• Spearhead interviews and onboarding for floor personnel.
