Atira Hotels is seeking a Floor Houseperson to support housekeeping operations at the property. The role involves assisting housekeepers, preparing rooms, and maintaining public areas to the highest standards.

The position is part-time with shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm to 11pm, offering $17 per hour. Customer service and English proficiency are essential, with paid training and employee assistance benefits provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Experience in hotel or hospitality is a plus.
• Ability to greet guests warmly and communicate effectively.
• Fluent in English and able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers warmly and professionally.
• Retrieve linen and trash from carts and rooms daily.
• Restock linen carts and closets.
• Keep storage areas clean and organized; vacuum as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, elevators, and guest areas.
• Assist with deep cleaning duties and special projects as directed by management.
• Operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums and carpet cleaners.
• Deliver requested items to guest rooms promptly.
• Handle guest complaints courteously and professionally.

Job Overview

The Floor Houseperson assists housekeepers in cleaning and preparing guest rooms and ensures all common areas are meticulously maintained for guest comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet all customers warmly and professionally.


• Retrieve linen and trash from room attendant carts and assigned rooms daily.


• Restock linen carts and closets throughout the day.


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage rooms, regularly vacuuming as needed.


• Keep elevators, hallways, walkways, and stairs clean and presentable.


• Assist with special projects like mattress flipping and deep cleaning under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager.


• Operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums and carpet cleaners.


• Clean hallway doors, windows, and vents.


• Deliver requested items to guest rooms promptly.


• Ensure cleanliness of all guest’s common areas including lobbies, restrooms, and pool areas, and vacuum hallways as necessary.


• Handle guest complaints efficiently and courteously.


• Assist other hotel departments during peak periods.


• Perform other duties as assigned by management.


• Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by the manager/ supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma preferred.


• Previous hotel experience preferred.


• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift and bend as required.


• Ability to see, hear, speak, and understand English proficiently.


• Strong communication skills with guests.


• Knowledge of the local area is advantageous.
