Job summary

RWNYC is seeking a Floor Manager Fire Safety to lead fire safety operations in a hospitality setting. You will monitor the fire command station, operate the PA system during alarms and drills, and coordinate with building engineers, security, and agencies to enforce safety plans.

The role requires a FDNY Certificate of Fitness and at least 3 years of Fire and Life Safety or facilities management experience, with strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with the ability to obtain the required license.
• Three years in Fire and Life Safety or facilities management related work.
• Certificate of Fitness for Fire Safety & Life Safety Director from the FDNY.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fire command station and use PA system to guide occupants.
• Develop, implement and update Fire Safety/EAP plans and evacuation policies.
• Coordinate with engineers, security, and government entities on safety tasks.
• Conduct daily/ monthly tests of fire equipment and drills.
• Maintain Fire and Life Safety logs and ensure compliance with codes.
