Merchants Building Maintenance, a large, family-owned commercial cleaning company, seeks a Utility Worker / Floor Crew Technician to perform routine and deep cleaning, floor care, and equipment operation across multiple facilities. The role requires physical fitness, reliable transportation, and the ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, utility, floor care or custodial experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• Able to lift and carry 20+ pounds regularly.
• Open and flexible availability; ability to work days/evenings/nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning for commercial facilities and common areas.
• Provide floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing, waxing, and extraction.
• Operate floor machines and janitorial equipment safely and effectively.
• Support with special cleaning projects and emergency cleanups as needed.
• Load, unload, and transport cleaning supplies between sites.
• Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and quality workmanship.
