Job summary

Carlson Building Maintenance is hiring a Floor Care Technician in Sturgeon Bay, WI. You will operate floor care equipment to maintain hard floors and carpets in a large retail setting, following safety procedures and cleaning standards.

Starting pay is $16.00 per hour with a consistent early morning schedule; approx. 36 hours/week, with a 7-day schedule and weekly Friday pay. Direct-hire position with benefits and room for career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull floor care equipment.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Previous floor care, janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, extractors, and other floor care equipment.
• Maintain hard floor surfaces through scrubbing, buffing, stripping, and waxing.
• Vacuum, shampoo, bonnet, and extract carpeted areas.
• Perform general cleaning and restroom cleaning as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and cleaning standards.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance concerns.
• Complete assigned cleaning projects independently and efficiently.
