Job summary

Yona is seeking a Floor Care Technician to join our caring team. You will maintain hard-surface floors, perform carpet cleaning, operate floor care equipment, and ensure safe, clean environments for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates have prior floor care experience, knowledge of floor maintenance techniques, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This role requires reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work varied shifts to support a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.
• Requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work varying times of day/night.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing
• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use
• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
